MCA Training Program held at St. Anthony Church, Sirsi
The MCA (Missionary Childhood Association) Training Program was successfully conducted at St. Anthony Church, Sirsi, on 1st March 2026, with the enthusiastic participation of 56 children.
The day began with the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Stewart Fernandes, Director of the Commission for Proclamation and Evangelization. The Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Valento Fernandes.
Following the Holy Mass, the MCA training session was held in the school hall. Fr. Stewart Fernandes led the training with a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation, explaining the vision, mission, and objectives of the Missionary Childhood Association. During the session, he especially highlighted the beautiful concept of “Children Helping Children,” encouraging the young participants to grow in missionary spirit by praying, sacrificing, and sharing with other children in need.
Rev. Fr. Cyril D’Souza, Parish Priest of St. Anthony Church, was present throughout the program, extending his support and encouragement, and two animators actively participated in the session.
At the end of the session, Fr. Cyril D’Souza expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Stewart Fernandes for the valuable guidance and informative presentation. The program concluded on a positive note, inspiring the children to actively participate in missionary activities and grow as young ambassadors of Christ.
