Marriage Preparation Course held at Puneeth Sadan, Shirwad, Karwar
A marriage preparation course for couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage was successfully conducted at Puneeth Sadan, Shirwad, from 13th to 15th March 2026. A total of 46 participants attended the three-day program, which aimed to help couples understand the meaning, responsibilities, and spiritual dimension of Christian marriage.
The course included several informative and interactive sessions led by experienced resource persons. The topics covered included the Sacrament of Marriage, the complementarity of man and woman in marriage, communication in married life, human anatomy, relationships with parents and in-laws, conflicts and reconciliation in marriage, family responsibilities, parenting, and financial management in family life. Through these sessions, discussions, and group activities, the participants were encouraged to reflect deeply on their future married life and responsibilities as Christian couples.
Special emphasis was also placed on the spiritual preparation of the couples. During the program, participants took part in the Holy Eucharist, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the Stations of the Cross, which helped them grow spiritually and prepare themselves for their vocation to married life.
The participants expressed their appreciation for the course, noting that the sessions were both meaningful and practical for their preparation for marriage. The organizers extended their gratitude to all the resource persons, volunteers, and the staff of Puneeth Sadan for their valuable contribution to making the program a success. The course concluded with the distribution of certificates to all the participants.
