The Honavar Deanery Youth organized a meaningful Lenten retreat titled “Dilexi Te” (I Have Loved You) on 21 March 2026 at Infant Jesus Church, Prabhat Nagar, with the participation of 150 youth.

The retreat began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Silvan Rodrigues, youth director, setting a prayerful and reflective tone for the day. Fr. Mark Fernandes then led a session on the theme “Dilexi Te,” encouraging the youth to reflect on God’s personal love and their response to it in everyday life.

The program also included animation and interactive sessions that kept the youth actively engaged and fostered a spirit of joy and unity. A profound moment of grace was experienced during the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, offering the participants time for silent prayer and a deeper encounter with the Lord.

At the end of the retreat, the Deanery Youth Coordinator, Fr. Ravi Horta, expressed gratitude to all the office bearers and felicitated the director and former office bearers for their dedicated service. The retreat was generously hosted by the Parish Priest, Fr. Anthony Lopes, whose support ensured the smooth conduct of the program.

The day concluded on a spiritually enriching note, with the youth returning home renewed in faith and inspired to live out God’s love in their daily lives.
