Bishop’s Pastoral Visit to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Madi
On 11th and 12th April 2026, Our Lady of Fatima Church, Madi, was blessed to host the pastoral visit of Bishop Duming Dais. Along with Fr. Lorence D’Silva, Parish Priest, and the lay faithful, the bishop was received in a solemn and prayerful procession, marking the beginning of the visit.
The program commenced with a warm welcome followed by a prayer service in the church. The bishop also offered prayers at the cemetery, remembering the faithful departed. Preparations for the liturgical celebrations were carried out with devotion and reverence.
During the visit, the bishop held meetings with the Parish Pastoral Council (P.P.C.) and the Finance Committee, discussing the spiritual and pastoral growth of the parish. He also had a personal interaction with the parish priest.
On the following day, the bishop joined the faithful in the prayer of the Church and celebrated the Eucharist, strengthening the faith of the community. A felicitation program was organized to honor his visit.
The Bishop interacted with various parish groups, including the M.C.A., altar servers, ICYM members, the women’s association, and the Catholic Association, encouraging them in their mission and service. He also met the parents of seminarians, appreciating their generous support in fostering vocations.
As part of his pastoral care, the bishop met a parishioner with a special charism and visited the homes of the sick, offering prayers and comfort. The visit concluded on a note of joy and gratitude, leaving the parish community spiritually enriched and united in faith.
