The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Kone Deanery, organized a “Revive” One-Day Youth Convention on 16th August 2026 at Shirwad Parish Hall, bringing together around 70 youth for a day of faith formation, fellowship, reflection, and joyful participation.
The convention was organized under the leadership of Fr. Sachin D’Souza, Deanery Youth Coordinator, with the support and cooperation of the ICYM office bearers of the Kone Deanery. The gathering was graced by Rev. Fr. Gabriel Monis, Dean of Kone Deanery; Rev. Fr. Silvan Rodrigues, Diocesan Youth Director; Mrs. Rhea Alphonso, resource person; and Mr. Aquil Fernandes, Diocesan Youth President.
The main input session was conducted by Mrs. Rhea Alphonso, who addressed several challenges faced by young people today, including anxiety, fear, doubts, depression, social media pressure, excessive use of social media, and various forms of addiction. Her session encouraged the youth to reflect on these challenges and their impact on their personal, social, and emotional lives.
The convention also featured various competitions, activities, and games conducted by the diocesan office bearers. These activities promoted teamwork, friendship, active participation, and healthy competition among the youth. The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners.
The enthusiastic participation of the 70 youth made the “Revive” Convention a memorable and enriching experience. The combination of meaningful formation, engaging activities, and fellowship created an atmosphere of joy and encouraged the young people to renew their faith and enthusiasm.

Sachin D’Souza, Deanery Youth Coordinator, for his initiative, leadership, and dedicated efforts in organizing the convention, along with the support of the ICYM office-bearers.
The “Revive” One-Day Youth Convention was a fruitful initiative of ICYM Kone Deanery, bringing young people together to address contemporary challenges and experience an atmosphere of joy, friendship, reflection, and renewal.
