On 13th September 2025, Holy Cross Seminary, Shirwad, Karwar, joyfully celebrated the annual feast of the Holy Cross. The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Bishop of Karwar, Most Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, concelebrated by around 20 priests, and attended by religious brothers, sisters, and many lay faithful.

The liturgy was prayerfully and meaningfully organized by the seminarians. In his homily, Bishop Duming Dias reflected on the significance of the Cross, highlighting it as the symbol of redemption and hope, and inviting all to embrace its meaning in daily Christian life.

Following the Holy Mass, the seminarians presented a cultural program that showcased their talents and creativity, which was highly appreciated by all present. In his address, the Bishop expressed gratitude to the Rector, Rev. Fr. John Rodrigues; the Vice-Rector, Rev. Fr. Sachin D’Souza; and Msgr. Simon Tellis for their dedicated guidance and leadership. He encouraged the seminarians to remain committed to their vocation and stay focused on their goal.

The celebration concluded with a festive meal shared by all, fostering a spirit of joy, fraternity, and thanksgiving.
