Bhatkal Deanery conducted a Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) training session on March 16, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Church, Lower Kasarkod. The event saw the participation of 151 members from various parishes of the deanery.

The training session was led by Rev. Fr. Nirmal Miranda, who served as the resource person. He emphasized the importance of the PPC in parish life and provided insights into its structure, role, and functioning. His session helped participants understand how the PPC can effectively contribute to the spiritual and pastoral growth of the parish.

Following the talk, a group discussion was facilitated by Fr. Lawrence Fernandes, the Deanery Laity Coordinator, allowing participants to engage in meaningful conversations and share their perspectives on strengthening the PPC in their respective parishes.

The program was well organized under the leadership of Fr. Albert D’Silva, the parish priest of St. Joseph’s Church, along with Fr. Lawrence Fernandes. Their meticulous arrangements ensured the smooth conduct of the training session.

The PPC training proved to be an enriching experience for all attendees, fostering a deeper commitment to parish ministry and leadership.
