CRI General Body Meeting held at St. Michael’s Convent, Karwar
The Karwar Unit of the Conference of Religious India (CRI) held its General Body Meeting on 10th August 2025 at St. Michael’s Convent, Karwar, bringing together religious from various congregations in a spirit of unity, fraternity, and mission. The theme for the day was “Consecrated to Radiate Hope to the World.”
The day began with a prayer song and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, invoking God’s blessings upon the gathering. This was followed by a warm welcome address and felicitation, honoring the dignitaries and participants.
Rev. Fr. Cyprian Silva, Episcopal Vicar for Religious, set the tone of the day with words of encouragement and pastoral guidance for those living the consecrated vocation. An inspiring session was then led by Rev. Fr. Edward Thomas, SDB, who offered profound reflections on the theme “Consecrated to Radiate Hope to the World.”
The highlight of the day was the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of Karwar. The grace-filled liturgy strengthened participants in their call to serve and witness to Christ. Following the Eucharist, a joyful photo session captured the spirit of fraternity and togetherness.
In the afternoon, Fr. Edward Thomas continued to enrich the assembly with further insights, after which the CRI Business Session, led by the Karwar Unit Executive Team, addressed important matters related to the mission and activities of the local CRI unit.
The meeting concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing deep gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and all participants. The day was marked by prayer, reflection, fellowship, and a renewed resolve to radiate hope to the world through the witness of consecrated life.
