CRI Karwar gathers for Annual Jubilee Celebration and Reflection
The Conference of Religious India (CRI), Karwar, came together for a day of spiritual renewal, collaboration, and celebration, marked by deep reflections, the Holy Eucharist, and the honoring of jubilarians, on 31st March 2025.
The gathering commenced with the solemn Pilgrim Cross leading the CRI members into the celebration. The Director of the Diocesan Pastoral Centre (DPC) warmly welcomed the 107 participants, setting the tone for a meaningful session.
Fr. Richard Rodrigues, vicar general, formally inaugurated the event, followed by an inspiring talk by Fr. Fr. John Rodrigues then led a profound penitential service, helping participants reflect on their spiritual journey. This was followed by an address from Rt. Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of Karwar, who expounded on the Diocesan Pastoral Plan. The bishop highlighted the importance of CRI’s collaboration with the diocese to strengthen the Church’s mission.
The highlight of the day was the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Bishop Duming Dias, where the participants renewed their commitment to religious life.
A special moment of the gathering was the felicitation of Sr. Laurentia D’Souza, SRA, celebrating her Golden Jubilee, and Sr. Premlatha, B.S., marking her Silver Jubilee. The diocese honored their dedicated service, expressing gratitude for their tireless contributions to the Church.
The event continued with the annual reports from various deanery representatives, showcasing the fruitful ministry and activities of the past year. Sr. Alphonsa extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all present.
