The CRI Lenten Recollection was prayerfully conducted on 22 March 2026 at Puneet Sadan, Shirwad, with the participation of 115 members.

The day began with a warm welcome by Most Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of Karwar, who set a reflective and spiritual tone for the gathering. The first session was led by Fr. Silvan Rodrigues, Commission Director for Vocation – Clergy and Religious. He guided the participants in deepening their understanding of vocation and encouraged them to renew their commitment to their calling.

The second session was animated by Fr. Baptist Gomes on the theme “Collaboration and Participating in the Mission of the Church.” He highlighted the importance of unity, cooperation, and active participation in the Church’s mission.

A meaningful opportunity for the Sacrament of Confession was arranged, with spiritual preparation led by Fr. Silvan Rodrigues, helping participants to enter more deeply into the Lenten spirit of repentance and renewal.

The recollection concluded with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Bishop Duming Dias. In his homily and concluding message, he encouraged the CRI members to be generous and committed in supporting the mission of the Church.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Stevan D’Souza, Director of KDDC, conducted a brief but important session on SIR and safeguarding policies, emphasizing responsibility, accountability, and care in ministry.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sr. Victoria. The event was smoothly organized with the assistance of Fr. Intru Pinto and the seminarians. The gathering ended with a time of fellowship over lunch, bringing the recollection to a joyful and grace-filled close.
