The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Haliyal Deanery organized a vibrant Youth Retreat on 22nd March 2026 at Mary Queen of Heaven & Earth Church, Gardolli, with the enthusiastic participation of around 220 youth. The retreat was organized under the leadership of Fr. Simon Fernandes, Deanery Youth Coordinator, along with his dedicated deanery office bearers’ team.

The retreat was a spiritually enriching experience, filled with prayer, reflection, and joyful fellowship. The inaugural program was graced by the Dean, Fr. Raymond Fernandes. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Ronald D’Souza, concelebrated by other priests, setting a prayerful tone for the day.

The retreat included Adoration and Praise & Worship led by Fr. Simon Fernandes, creating a deep atmosphere of devotion. A meaningful spiritual talk was delivered by Fr. Simon Siddi, inspiring the youth to grow in faith and commitment.

Various engaging activities added vibrancy to the retreat. The action song of Jesus was animated by Fr. Simon Fernandes, while other activities were conducted by Fr. Francis Fernandes, Fr. Arun Fernandes, and Fr. Ronald D’Souza. Overall, the retreat proved to be a grace-filled and enriching experience, strengthening the faith and unity of the youth of Haliyal Deanery.
