Introduction to the Liturgy Course held at Manchikeri
A one-day course on “Introduction to the Liturgy” was successfully conducted on 21st March 2026 at St. Sebastian’s Church, Manchikeri, under the Theology and Doctrine Commission of the Diocese of Karwar.
The session began with a warm welcome and introduction by Fr. Nathanial Cruz, director of the Theology and Doctrine Commission, who introduced the resource person. In the pre-lunch session, Fr. Felix Lobo provided a comprehensive explanation of the meaning of liturgy and its essential elements, helping participants gain a strong foundational understanding of the Church’s liturgical life.
The post-lunch session focused on different forms and expressions of prayer, along with important guidelines for the celebration of liturgy and an overview of key Church documents. The sessions were both enriching and practical, deepening the participants’ appreciation of liturgical practices.
In the concluding session, Fr. Joswin, the deanery coordinator, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource person for his enlightening inputs. Mrs. Precilla, on behalf of the participants, shared the insights and knowledge gained through the program.
The course concluded with a group photograph. The Commission extended its sincere thanks to Fr. Ronny Rodrigues, priest in charge of St. Sebastian’s Church, for his generous support and arrangements that contributed to the success of the event.
