Jubilee of the Print and Digital Media 2025 Celebrated in the Diocese of Karwar

The Diocese of Karwar celebrated the Jubilee of the Print and Digital Media 2025 with a special training program held on 31st March 2025 at the KDDC building under the leadership of the Diocesan Communication Director, Fr. Stewart Fernandes. The event brought together 32 members from different parts of the diocese, acknowledging their contributions and providing them with opportunities to enhance their skills.

His Lordship, Bishop Duming Dias, was present and was felicitated during the event. In his speech, he encouraged all media personnel to continue their dedicated service in the field and called upon them to network with each other. He also emphasized the need for future seminars to strengthen their collaboration. Recognizing this as the first such gathering, he expressed gratitude to Fr. Stewart Fernandes for organizing the program and encouraged greater participation in future editions.

The chief guest and resource person, Mrs. Nivia Gomes, a renowned poetess, writer, editor, social worker, and entrepreneur, delivered an inspiring speech and led the session effectively. She expressed her joy at being invited to this jubilee celebration and was honored by the dignitaries present on stage.

Mr. George Fernandes, the sponsor of the program, was also felicitated for his generous support. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of multitasking and continuous learning to achieve success.

Among the distinguished guests were Fr. Gabriel Monis, Dean of Kone Deanery, and Fr. Steven Souza, KDDC Director, who led the master of ceremony. The introduction of the speaker and the vote of thanks was delivered by the communication director.

During the session, participants shared their experiences and expressed a strong desire for similar gatherings in the future. The event successfully fostered collaboration and learning, setting the stage for continued growth and development in the diocesan media sector.
