Leadership Training for Parish Women Cell Leaders Held in Sampkand
The Diocesan Women’s Commission, under the leadership of its secretary, Sr. Mabel Pinto DHM, organized a leadership training program for parish women cell office bearers at St. Francis Xavier Parish, Sampkand. The event brought together 24 participants from various parishes of the Sirsi Deanery.
The program aimed to empower women in leadership roles within their parishes and communities. Sr. Mabel D’Cruz CCR inspired the participants to follow the example of Mother Mary and become role models in their families, parishes, and society.
Rev. Fr. Anecleatus D’Mello, who was present for the occasion, commended the participants for their active role in the Women’s League. Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza moderated the plenary session and also celebrated the Holy Eucharist for the participants, invoking God’s blessings on their mission.
The success of this event was made possible by the dedication of Mrs. Mabel Rebello, Diocesan Women Cell Vice President, and the generosity of the St. Francis Xavier Parish Women’s Cell, who lovingly contributed towards the meals for the gathering.
The Women Commission thanked the parish priests of the participating parishes for encouraging and motivating women towards leadership and empowerment. May this initiative continue to strengthen the role of women in the church and society.
