Leadership Training for Parish Women Cell Office Bearers at Honavar
The Diocesan Women’s Commission, under the leadership of its Secretary, Sr. Mabel Pinto DHM, successfully organized a leadership training program for the parish women cell office bearers of Bhatkal, Kumta, and Honavar Deaneries. At Prathibodaya Hall, Honavar. The event saw 100% participation from all three deaneries, a testament to the dedication and commitment of our women leaders.
A total of 120 women leaders took part in the training, actively engaging in the sessions and benefiting immensely from the insights shared. Sr. Mabel D’Cruz, CCR, delivered an inspiring talk, encouraging the participants to follow the example of Mother Mary and be role models in their families, parishes, and society.
The presence and appreciation of Rev. Fr. Thomas Fernandes, Dean, Honavar Deanery; Rev. Fr. Nirmal Miranda, DPC Director; and Rev. Fr. Anthony Rodrigues, Dean, Kumta Deanery added great value to the occasion. They commended the women for their contribution in and through the Women’s League.
The commission also thanked Rev. Fr. Lawrence Fernandes, the Diocesan Spiritual Director for the Women’s Commission, moderated the plenary session and provided valuable guidance for the future. Additionally, Rev. Fr. Stewart Fernandes enlightened the women on how to navigate the Diocesan website, enabling them to stay informed and engaged.
Mrs. Annie Rodrigues, Diocesan Women Cell Treasurer, who warmly welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Celine Dias, who expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all. Mrs. Perpeth Lopes, who efficiently completed the program. Mrs. Sangeeta Gonsalves and the deanery leaders, whose collaboration ensured the smooth execution of the event.
The commission thanked parish priests of the three deaneries for their unwavering support and cooperation. May this training bear fruit in the life and mission of our Women’s Cell members, empowering them to serve with faith, leadership, and dedication.
