Marriage Preparation Course held at Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Shirwad, Karwar

The Marriage Preparation Course for the month of December 2025 was successfully conducted from 12th to 14th December 2025 at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Shirwad, Karwar. A total of 32 participants took part in the three-day program, which aimed at preparing couples for a responsible, committed, and faith-filled married life.

The course commenced on the morning of 12th December 2025 with a warm welcome by the coordinators, followed by an introduction outlining the aims and objectives of the program. Participants were guided to understand the importance of spiritual, emotional, and practical readiness for a lasting Christian marriage.

The sessions were handled by experienced clergy and resource persons, covering essential themes such as marriage as a covenant and sacrament; intimacy and communication in married life; family finance and responsible parenthood; relationship with parents and in-laws; conflict resolution and reconciliation; marriage and canon law; and human anatomy, pro-life values, and the holiness of the body.

The program was both informative and interactive, encouraging active participation through group discussions, personal reflection, and sharing. The spiritual dimension of the course was strengthened through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, Eucharistic Adoration, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, enabling the participants to deepen their faith and prayer life.

On the final day, an evaluation session was held during which participants shared their feedback and expressed their appreciation for the well-organized and enriching program. Certificates of participation were distributed to all those who successfully completed the course.

The Marriage Preparation Course concluded on 14th December 2025 with a thanksgiving prayer. Overall, the program was conducted smoothly and fruitfully, proving to be spiritually uplifting and practically guiding, and helping the participants prepare themselves to lead a committed and responsible Christian married life.
