Prathiba Career Guidance Program held at Yellapur

The Diocese of Karwar Education Commission organized the “Prathiba Career Guidance Program” for PU and degree students of the Yellapur Zone, covering the Haliyal and Sirsi Deaneries, on 11 January 2026 at Mother Teresa School, Yellapur.

The program began with a warm welcome by Fr. Gabriel Lopes, followed by the keynote address by Fr. Raymond Fernandes, who highlighted the importance of proper career discernment and value-based decision-making in today’s competitive world. Fr. Simon formally introduced the resource person of the day.

The session was led by Prof. William D’Souza, an international motivational speaker, who enlightened the students on the various career options available after PUC and degree studies. His interactive and inspiring talk helped students understand how to identify their strengths, interests, and abilities while choosing the right career path.

The program was well organized by Fr. Royston Gonsalves, ensuring smooth coordination and active participation throughout the event. A total of 40 participants attended the program. During the feedback session, one girl and three boys expressed their deep appreciation for the speaker, stating that the session was highly informative and meaningful, and regretted that many of their friends could not attend and missed such a valuable opportunity.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Felix, who gratefully acknowledged the resource person, organizers, and all those who contributed to the success of the program. The Diocese of Karwar Education Commission continues its mission of empowering youth through guidance, education, and holistic formation.
