The Commission for Faith Formation of the Karwar Diocese successfully organized the Preran Shibir at three centers across the diocese from 6th April to 10th April 2026. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation and fruitful spiritual engagement among the youth.

The Shibir was conducted under the guidance, blessings, and constant encouragement of Most Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of Karwar, along with the wholehearted support of all the priests of the diocese.

The Shibir was coordinated by Fr. Gabriel, Fr. Cyprian, Fr. Silvan, Fr. Ronny Rodrigues, Fr. Sachin, and Fr. Stewart, along with all the deans and Faith Formation Coordinators of the respective deaneries. Their dedicated leadership and active involvement, together with the efforts of the priests who undertook various responsibilities during the sessions, ensured the smooth and effective conduct of the camp.

The success of the Shibir was also made possible through the generous contribution of our seminarians, religious sisters, women’s associations, and the lay faithful, whose wholehearted support added great value to the program. The staff of Mother Teresa School, Yellapur, and Holy Rosary School, Honnavar, along with the HRC Sisters and Puneeth Sadan staff, contributed their generous hospitality and commendable service.

The Preran Shibir proved to be a spiritually enriching and formative experience, strengthening the faith and commitment of the participants.
