The official Regional Youth Convention (RYC) 2025 logo was launched by the Host Diocese, with great joy on 27th July 2025, Sunday at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Karwar. The ceremony marked a significant beginning to the diocesan preparations for this major youth event.
His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Karwar, officially unveiled the logo in the presence of a large gathering. Also present were Rev. Fr. Thomas Fernandes, Rector of the Cathedral, Rev. Fr. Wilson Dsouza (Assistant Priest), Rev. Fr. Silvan Rodrigues (Diocesan Youth Director), and Rev. Fr. Stany Pinto. The event was also attended by religious sisters, youth representatives from various parishes, and parishioners.
In his brief yet inspiring message, the bishop invited everyone to pray wholeheartedly for the success of RYC 2025, encouraging spiritual preparation, unity, and active involvement from all corners of the diocese.
Rev. Fr. Silvan Rodrigues, the Youth Director, gave a short explanation on the meaning and purpose of the Regional Youth Convention. He highlighted that RYC is a time of faith formation, renewal, fellowship, and empowerment of youth to live as dynamic witnesses of Christ in today’s society.
The atmosphere was filled with prayer, excitement, and youthful energy, as the newly launched logo stood as a powerful symbol of commitment, collaboration, and hope for the journey ahead.
