Across the Bedthi river on the Yellapur-Sirsi road lies Manchikeri village which was part of Yellapur Parish. It was separated from the main Yellapur Parish in the year 1994. It has about 280 Parishioners.
The new Church building and the Priest’s residence was constructed under the supervision of Rev.Fr.Benedict Rodrigues, who was also the first Priest-in-charge of this new Mission Station. Our Bishop inaugurated the new building of the Church on 22nd Oct. 1994. The Mission Station has a sub-station dedicated to St. Anne at Bilki, which is about 10 kms away from Manchikeri.
Fr. Benedict Rodrigues, Fr. Lawrence D’Souza, Fr Lawrence Pereira, Fr. Joachim Furtado, Fr. Raymond Fernandes, have served the parish. Presently Fr. Royston Gonsalves is the parish Priest.
